* How to get from Montpellier to La Grande Motte :

There is a bus which starts to “Place de France” in Odysseum from “La Grande Motte”. You can see the schedule attached: Horaires (Horaires is french for ‘Schedule’).

Also there are different taxi’s company :

– Taxi Bleu du Midi : 04 67 03 2000

– Taxi radio du Midi : 04 67 100 000

– Taxi Aéroport Montpellier : 04 30 96 60 60

* Options for getting to and from your hotel :

– To walk : there are 2.9 kms from Novotel and Yacht club and 8 minutes from Mercure to yacht club

* Parking availability near marina

There is parking at the yacht club and for the launching there is a free parking.

* Availability at the marina for boats?

We think there are some availability at the marina for boats but you must call the captaincy at : +33 467 56 50 06

The price depends to the size of the boat.

* Is Uber legal in France?

Uber is legal in France but there isn’t Uber in Montpellier and in the region of Montpellier.

    For those who just want to see the boat launch in the marina

    What time is the actual Launch of your new vessel?

    Also is this only for the morning and not for the day? As well you have Lunch and dinner listed in both morning and afternoon, does this mean that the purchase of either morning or afternoon conference attendance that we are invited for both, lunch and dinner? What time would dinner be served? Lunch time seems to be at 12:30 to 14:30 or so we imagine.
    Also we are confused as to the two hours for all (Slash, Conference and sail in the two hours listed for both morning and afternoon)
    Please know that for the cost we just wish to know what we will be doing or not doing and when.

      We have booked our hotel and wonder if tickets can be purchased at the event?
      If not, is was confusing as to weather these tickets are for the entire day and all events or if multiple tickets have to be purchased.

        Hi Mario & Claris,
        The main reason for selling tickets is that we didn’t know if there would be 10 or 10,000 people and we needed to book venues and have some idea for budget etc. We have received feedback that the pricing is out of some peoples price range so we are reviewing it to see how we can be more inclusive of others who have already organised the journey. More information shortly.

    Yay!!!! Booked!! A bit sad that since our flights are on Sunday @15:00 it was going to be a bit hectic to have the sail on that day, but we get to see you on the Saturday!! sooooo excited!

      Hey there Balbina! The sail will be on a large catamaran. We have two available, one which will hold 45 people, another will hold 95 people.

      It might be something we review. Organising an event in a country that speaks french has been pretty tough. We’re hoping we can learn from this event and have something more affordable in the future.

    Awwwww, thank you for the answer Elayna. Could we please get in the 45 people one. When I booked on my phone I did not realise it was one of those Cats , for some reason I assumed it was on your new boat, and since our flight back to the UK is at 15:00 on the Sunday I thought it was going to be difficult to get in the “Intimate Sail” without it being a bit short of time.

    Hello guys just had two ?s.. are you guys going to be on the sail trips for the 4th and 5th with everyone? And on the 5th it says 10 people.. does that mean only the first 10 will get to join with you guys or they have different trips out for ten people each time? Sorry just wanted to get that clearified.       Hi Gaston & Bonita,
      The sail opportunities on Saturday the 4th will be on a 45 persons or 95 persons yacht that will sail along side our new yacht. On the Sunday, the 5th, it will be one of a fleet of Outremer catamarans, each with a maximum persons of 10 passengers. Neither will be on our yacht but very nearby. Hope this clears it up.

    Hey guys, I just want to say that I took the decision not to go. I planned it for a long time, took time off from work, booked the hotel but now when I calculate all the costs together with travel and accommodation and the 350 euros extra its getting close to 1000 euros for me and thats too much for me considering I´m also trying to save up so I can take my family to Greece first week in June. I would not want to go there and and miss out on all the cool events. Economical limitations are frustrating. Sorry that I can´t be there. I wish you all the best for you´re big splash!

      Thanks Jimmy, we understand. We have since changed our ticketing system to adjust the ticket sales for dinner only @ 45€. We thought this might be a little easier for everyone to budget. We will be in Greece in June, July, August so we might run into you there.

    Flights hotels etc all booked.
    Do we get a confirmation email?
    My email used does not match my patron email, not sure if that makes a difference.

      I have not found you on our list. The system will not let you book a ticket without entering in your payment information via PayPal. Once you have completed the process, it will provide you a confirmation screen and you should receive a confirmation email from: Sailing La Vagabonde
