  1. Welcome to Coconut Grove, hope to stop by and say hello before heading to the Bahamas

  2. Hi Guys,
I’ve been watching your show ages. Like quite a few other viewers, I’m planning to do a similar thing and your show forms a bit of guidebook for the ups and downs.

You mentioned looking for a land based role. Have you considered starting a liveaboard bootcamp. This could be extended into cruising trips with yourselves, but the start point for anyone considering this life is learning all sorts of skills and working out what you actually need in a boat. Some will prefer cats, some monohulls and budgets vary wildly. There are loads of sailing courses out there, but it would be good to have one place focusing on liveaboard realities. In addition to the usual sailingskills, first aid etc…, no where really focuses on the liveaboard realities people face.

    Best, Woody

  3. Very informative – esp regarding the difference between mono and Cat – we are in that ” boat” – big decision soon.
Please continue – we are addicts to your travels – good luck trying to keep your show fresh – it must be damn hard with that camera in your face all day ! – how about a good fight ! ..even if it’s staged .. I don’t care .
Nice Indian Cow skull – I’m surprised PETA hasn’t complained about that yet..

  4. Ok guys been watching you for sometime from the beginning.

What’s your plans when this is all over for you based on the adventure? Settle back home in WA cruise the Kimberley or QLD or get back into the work force or write a book.

I envey you both I have travelled in my younger years at sea and as just stated to my wife tonight after E145 when I return one day to life after death I would do it again and do what you have done.

    Love and respect
    Wes

  5. 1st question
Could you do an episode where it shows the skill sets needed to live on a sailboat? Just an idea.
    Examples
    1. How to get a Captains licence
    2. Man overboard procedure
    3. Medical skills/1st Aid.
    4. Basic navigation.
    5. Radio procedure
Just a suggestion. I’d like to see maybe one episode or a little bit during each episode.

    6. Types of sailboats for novices. Maybe recommend a good sailing course or Coast Guard approved captains course

Hey James! We have some ‘how to’ videos coming out soon. Let us know what you think when they come out in the next few months.

  7. You have absolutely encouraged me to read! I am on Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace and I can totally see how Riley is inspired by him in the way they both illustrate and express the details of what they are describing for someone to gain sense and feeling.. Its awesome and I love that the book is challenging. It has really captivated my imagination, and somehow reading the book has even made my dreams more vivid and interesting lol… Not to go on and on, but after I got the book I realized how much he references it. All the way back to yals first video introducing yourselves haha (favorite person in the world?) Love you guys!
