Living Off the Land in The Bahamas with my Pregnant Girlfriend. Ep. 185

We set sail to some deserted islands of the Berries. It’s been a goal of ours (well mostly Rileys) to live off the land for as long as we can. It’d be nice if we could grow veggies onboard, but I’ll have to stick to herbs for now. Veggie gardens and blue water ocean vessels apparently don’t go well together ☹️.

  1. I’ve heard that sprouts are workable on a sailboat. There are a lot of forums and websites that talk about it.

  2. You might try sprouting to get fresh food within days. You just need a jam jar with a perforated lid. Utube it!
    Also check out sea weed.

  3. Hello Elayna

I don’t want to be an alarmist but I notice you have developed some white spots on your face ( right side). Probably nothing but I would have them checked out.

    Love your videos

  4. Sprouts!! So easy to make. Lentils are my favorite and only take a few days to sprout. I make a sprouted lentil salad with walnuts, onions, lemon, olive oil, soy sauce, and a little honey. (& cilantro if you have it) Experiment. Yum.

  5. Riley, a very moving “speech” I would say – thank you for that.
Now I’m a bit confused – is this “crowd funding” different from how you have been funding your adventures up to now?
How do I check my status as a Patron – I think I’ve signed up, months ago, for a monthly fee – but come to think of it, I don’t see these payments recorded on my credit card statements. Can you please ask someone to contact me at: aplusb@sbcglobal.net or let me know who I should get a hold off.

Thank you so much – can’t wait to see baby sailor!
