Music For SLV

Hola gang!

Another week, another music blog! The daily vlogs are finishing up and it’s back to weeklies soon, how good was Riley’s solo sailing adventure?! two thumbs and two big toes up!

How about that music though? I’m so stoked we get to feature some of the freshest talent out there, I highly recommend clicking each of the links here and treating yourself to some sweet, sweet tunes.

A big thanks to all of the artists for letting us use your music on the show! We love what you guys do!

Without further ado, here’s the artists from last weeks daily vlogs;

Fai Rynita –

“Fai is an Indie singer- songwriter from the Byron Bay hinterland who has been developing her craft since childhood. At age 13 she taught herself to play guitar and soon enough began writing her own songs.

Influenced by such legends as Ell
iott Smith, Kate Bush, Dolly Parton, The White Stripes, The Beatles and The Cure what you get with Fai is intimate, folk-tinged songs that are bursting with quality from the first note to the final haunting chord.”

Mikael Abramowitch –

P’pa Carpenter –

Ricky green –

Gotam Sen –

Drew Blackard –

An eclectic mix of indie folk, Americana, pop, and rock & roll. Blackard has a number of acoustic EPs, including “Just A Day In Your Life”, “Right About Now I’d Like to Move to Austin and Buy a Purple House”, and “Road Signs” which are available on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify.

Influenced by Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Taj Mahal, Uncle Tupelo and Jeff Tweedy to name a few; the Texan gracefully laces his voice between melodic and well crafted riffing, whether it be the acoustic guitar or even the banjo, he’s a talent to watch!

Odd Socks –

Alon Barak –

Lakey Inspired –

Adam Yoo –

Hailing from Canada, Adam Yoo creates a vibe that will mellow you out and melt you into your couch. His low-key chill out music seductively floats around the room, captivating the listener and keeping them coming back for more. His SoundCloud page sits with thousands of listens and comments from his active and ever growing fan-base.

In 2016 he released his debut EP, DReAMS, available on BandCamp for purchase. The title track taking you to the beach, seagulls and waves crashing can be heard in the background while Adam nonchalantly slaps his guitar .

Dominic Bennett –

Joe Mungovan –

Accidental Hero –

Saving Change –

“Saving Change” is the acoustic music project of Michigan based singer-songwriter Jim Zuck. He began teaching himself to play the guitar about four years ago and quickly found that music became a way to release all the feelings that he couldn’t find the words to express.

Jim has a vocal and active subscriber base on SoundCloud and has featured on Sailing La Vagabonde several times.

Saving Change is a real singer-songwriter and his enchanting acoustic music and honest vocals blend together perfectly, keeping his fans returning to Soundcloud, most of his songs having thousands of plays.

Thats all for now, a huge thanks to the musicians who contribute to the show, we love you guys! Stay tuned for more of the best indie music we’ve heard in a very long time! Feel free to leave a comment to show them your support and don’t forget to click the links!

Thanks for reading and have a good week,

  1. Riley & Elayna,
My wife and I always look forward to seeing your sailing updates and listening to the accompanying music when you are underway by Elayna or other artists. I will check out these artists you list. You had once posted Boy & Bear as one of the bands you like to listen to. I listened to them and really liked their rich musical textures in Southern Sun, Harlequin Dream and Limit of Love “Live”.
I wish you both the best in future adventures!

  2. Hi Elay

great singing and guitar playing. Do you have any other music videos and where is your album available through?

    Warm Regards
