Sailing La Vagabonde Featured Artists

HUFRIK – https://open.spotify.com/artist/3AcFi…

Hufrik’s music is like a chilled back beach stroll. Lazy vocals reverberate alongside an equally lazy guitar to conjure up summertime vibes.

Sounding like the stripped back and downtempo younger brother of ‘The Drums’, Hufrik hits the indie-surf niche at a similar angle.

James Abberley – https://www.instagram.com/jamesabberley

James released his only single in late 2018. It is an exciting preview of what James is about and what he is capable of.

Lovely acoustic guitar mixes with staple folk sounds and the unique addition of the theramin instrument. The warm atmosphere of sound envelopes James’ harmonised vocal and holds it safely.

Jamie Hamilton –https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/pas…

Jamie departs from mainstream folk by creating a blend leaning toward the more indie sound of Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes and The National.

His musical recipe containing sophisticated social commentary, unusual sounds and tight musicianship is quickly attracting worldwide interest.

Jimmy Pinch – https://jimmypinch.bandcamp.com/

Jimmy Pinch writes an experimental style of alternative rock.

Songs are characterised by the voice of a down-tuned electric guitar, speaking above the crash of jazz-style drums and a walking bass line.

Although nodding to the darker spectrum of music, an ethereal side of consciousness is revealed when given the chance.

Listen in for layers of chaotic guitar voicing that throw so, so much shade and takes you into Jimmy’s deep lair of music.

Michael Triscari⁩ – https://www.onepagelink.com/michaeltr…

Michael is a man of the ocean. Softly spoken and humble, it seems the influence of the sea left its impact on a deeper level.

Michael sings all about this influence, his songs paying homage to the beauty of nature and life on the water.

Finger picking folk is Michael’s vehicle for personal and insightful storytelling.

Oine Ensamble – http://oinensamble.bandcamp.com/

Traditional music direct from Spain, Oine Ensamble take you straight to the cobblestone streets of Barcelona for napolitana treats.

Featuring a talented ensemble of musicians including multiple spanish guitars and virtuoso singing, the crafting of sound is a joy to listen to.

RRAREBEAR – https://open.spotify.com/artist/3CodO…0

RRAREBEAR’s music is a nice escape from the stresses of modern-day life. The chill, ambient-electronic sounds are soothing and meditative, perfect to zone out with.

The music itself is well produced and contains several layers that take multiple listens to discover.

Will Gunselman – https://willgunselman.bandcamp.com/

Will’s music summons images of lakeside cabins, clean, clear air and hiking to the summit.

A contemporary take on Folk-Americana, Will brings a fresh approach to a well established genre.

Tightly produced, well layered and dense music creates anticipation for future releases.

AIKK – https://soundcloud.com/aikkyasser/set…

AIKK grounds roots from Florida to Egypt, the combination making way for his unique accent to fit snuggly with his music.

Smoky, husky and hypnotising, AIKK’s vocal inspires interest through modulation and relaxes into the beat pushing the tracks.

The music is a well-meshed blend of surf-rock, psych-rock and reggae fusion. It is a gooey, malleable surface for AIKK to sink his very-cool vocal into.

Adam Yoo – https://soundcloud.com/adamyoo_music

Adam creates a relaxed, mellow vibe that’s easy to daydream along to.

Low-key chill out music floats seductively around the room with each slap of the guitar, vocals heavy with reverb, simple, catchy melodies sublimely distracting.

Fai Rynita – https://soundcloud.com/fai-rynita

Fai’s music has a classic feel to it, often presented in a lo-fi format that creates a warm and familiar vibe.

Adding to that vibe is a sense of intimacy. Her tracks sound delicate, like a whisper you have to lean into to hear properly.

Fellow Hollow – https://www.fellowhollow.com

Folk duo Andrew Gavin Williams & Luke Elliot Fleeman have contemporary folk music dialled in.

The duo slides through their songs seamlessly, taking you into a comfortable, warm bubble of delicate guitar melodies, interesting tempo changes and unpredictable harmonies that drip with soul.

Although musically intricate, Fellow Hollow shines through with the relatable delivery of their narrative, touching on childhood stories, love and joy.

Gotam Sen – https://soundcloud.com/gotam-sen

Gotam Sen features regularly on Sailing La Vagabonde, producing solid and versatile music that is well received by international listeners.

Sen’s vocal melodies are a standout; pensive and yearning to allow the musical soiree to unfold with a karaoke style confidence.

Beneath the vocal charm, a bright musical composition pushes a driving rhythm. Bass lines walk a tightrope of standard drumbeats and other instruments introduce themselves sporadically.

HEEBLAY – https://heeblay.bandcamp.com/

Producing an eclectic, calming and enchanting soundscape, Gold Coast local Heeblay successfully delivers layered sound textures backed by evocative and soothing vocals.

The low key chanting of words resonates amidst a cluster of strung, wind and percussive instruments the likes of which would be difficult to pronounce let alone play.

Tom Owens/Porch Guitar – https://www.facebook.com/porchguitar/

Tom Owens aka Porch Guitar plays delightful, lo-fi, improvised guitar.

The name Porch Guitar rings true. Tom says, “Guitar Improv on the front porch. Structured as it happens. Sounds of nature. Cars go by. Neighbors wave. Yeah..”

As you hear the music this kind of scene is very easy to imagine, a park out the front, the sounds of birds chirping, and of course Tom noodling away on his front porch.

Stay safe, stay healthy and stay happy.
