I wonder at the size and agility of the cat which has been placed amongst the pigeons. This video took quite a bit of work to pull together, we did about 10 revisions and I’m still not 100% happy with it but it goes a long way towards describing what I think is a good and safe multihull sailing philosophy.

Spectacular advice Riley.. Not just because I agree with you… But because its all backed up by real numbers and coming from 10’s of thousands of miles of learning..
I agree we can’t blame the manufacturers, They build what people will to buy.. The task is to educate buyers to ask the right questions and prioritise the right things in a boat…
Great stuff mate?
Riley, Thanks for a glimpse of the complexity of sailing that really isn’t evident in your travel videos. Good info to think about. I am not a sailor but I love technical discussions on any subject. Very informative.
Stay safe and
Thank you Riley! You have confirmed my assumptions of what type of catamaran I really need! I won’t say which boat but it’s priorities are in performance and short handed sailing in a sheltered cockpit! I also purchased Tarjan’s book as well as Cornell’s 200,000 miles! Cheers Mate!
Really great vid Riley and Elayna! I wish I had seen it a year ago before we bought our slightly over weight, under powered but very comfortable cat. But will be useful for the next boat!
Thanks Riley That was great information .
FANTASTIC RILEY, SOMETIME LETS TALK ABOUT BUILDING ONE.FERRO, STAINLESS. TOUR TUTORIAL WAS VERY INSTRUCTIVE AND A LITTLE INTIMIDATING ON THE TECHNICAL STUFF, BUT AS YOU SAID PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE, TIME ON THE MACHINE EVOLVES SKILL. BEST TO THE FAMILY MATE.
