Would you sell your house for this? Ep. 202

Join us for a windy day on anchor. We eat breakfast in bed, make a coffee and get the day started. It’s one of those days where you can’t really go outside and you start picking on each other and get stuck into a heap of random jobs.

NEW SEXY MERCH pick up ‘Darth Lennon’ here
Would you sell your house for this? Instead of buying a house, we bought a sailboat. I’m not sure if it was the best investment financially speaking hahaha! Boats depreciate in value as soon as you buy them, (Riley tells me that the Outremer does hold it’s value quite well though, which is nice to know).. A boat house was the best decision we ever made, for a huge list of reasons!! Join us for a week onboard full of salt, sand and sun. Enjoy. Elayna, Riley and Lenny x

  1. Ok… i can’t resist! I’m actually going to write to the now famous Riley & Elayna… and Baby Lenny!!
I’ve followed you guys since the beginning and recently became a Patreon supporter.
I’m a 74yr old retiree & widower with 5 grown children & 6 grand children… and live in the New York/New Jersey coastal area and have sailed the waterways (with girlfriends and wives) on everything from a Sunfish & Hobie to O’Day’s and a Tritan. And I love sailing.
But childhood social conditions in post WWII era emphasized traditional family life… and so it was… I completed college and worked for 40yrs as an Industrial Designer (… a great profession IF you have to work!).
It was a good life with good homes, good children and several wives against the backdrop of New York City and business travel locations around the world (including Sydney!).
But like John Denver’s song…’I Guess He Rather Be in Colorado’… watching you two… and now with Little Lenny (THE cutest kid on the planet).. successfully live the life some many want but so few can have … has become a weekly ‘must see’. The freedom, ease and beauty brings me a quiet joy and peace. Thank you, safe journey’s and Godspeed.

  2. – that’s one thing nice about home ownership, bought cheap in Sierra (’96) it’s paid for now and appreciated (fourfold with sweat equity.) Of course (at retirement age) don’t want (or can afford) to go any where else ( better) now. But you kids are having a lifetime event ( esp. w Lenny) and IMHO might think of trading it in, but for the (still more) lifetime experiences yet ahead. When you do, may I suggest still keeping a sailboat in port, somewhere ( as I have done in Sausalito) getting to visit every other week or so.
    – Best, -S

  3. I’ve been to Spanish Wells. Not much a fan of it, but the rest of Eleuthera more than makes up for it.

  4. Really getting into you guys now, look forward to Monday’s now to get the next video.
Nice to see blue waters and the sun. A bit different to what we are getting back here in England at the moment. Take care of yourselves and Lenny.

  5. So inspired by you guys. I and my partner watched all your youtube video’s as we look for a change in our lives. We saving money to move to Australia from rainy England where we live and all we know is work and home lifestyle. you are a huge inspiration to look for things beyond “normal lifestyle” and we also plan to get a boat and explore the world after our move after we watched how beautiful it can be. Love watching your family grow and explore. Wish you all the best and hope to meet you in the future 😉
